Three Bodies, One Standard

Body One

The Honours Council

The Honours Council is the senior governing body of The UNBOUNDED Honours™. It provides institutional oversight for the programme, establishes the framework for evaluation, and ensures that the programme maintains its integrity, independence, and professional standards over time.

Responsibilities
  • Setting the overarching standards and philosophy of the programme
  • Approving the categories and evaluation criteria each cycle
  • Overseeing the appointment of jury members
  • Reviewing and approving structural changes to the programme
  • Ensuring the independence and credibility of the selection process

Body Two

The Advisory Council

The Advisory Council comprises distinguished professionals and thought leaders from different jurisdictions worldwide. Its role is to advise on professional standards, emerging trends, and the international character of the programme — ensuring that the UNBOUNDED Honours remain relevant and respected across the global professional community.

Responsibilities
  • Advising on professional developments across jurisdictions
  • Recommending refinements to categories and evaluation standards
  • Providing international perspective on the relevance of recognition
  • Supporting the global outreach and credibility of the programme
  • Identifying emerging disciplines and practice areas for future categories

Body Three

The Evaluation Panels

The Evaluation Panels are composed of experienced professionals appointed to review nominations within their respective disciplines. Panel members are selected for their subject expertise, professional standing, and demonstrated independence. They are the primary decision-making body for the selection of honourees.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluating all eligible nominations against published criteria
  • Shortlisting candidates within each category
  • Selecting recipients through independent deliberation
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all nomination details
  • Recusing from evaluations involving conflicts of interest

Principles of Independent Governance

Independence

Evaluation panel members are independent of the programme's commercial operation. They may not be involved in nominations they evaluate and must declare any conflicts of interest.

Confidentiality

All nomination details are treated in strict confidence. Panel deliberations are private. Individual evaluator scores and commentary are not disclosed.

No Paid Selection

Recognition cannot be purchased. Nomination fees cover administrative costs only. The selection of honourees is determined solely by the evaluation panel.

Transparency

The evaluation criteria, process timeline, and governance structure are published openly. Nominators and nominees can understand exactly how decisions are made.
