Why Nominate

Over the past seven years, I have represented over 300 clients in Nepal, achieving a remarkable 40% expansion in my client base through trust, diligence, and unwavering dedication. Behind these numbers lies a deeper story — one of fighting for justice where laws exist on paper but not always in practice.

From criminal law to corporate disputes, from banking compliance to human rights advocacy, my work has consistently bridged the gap between the promise of the law and its reality on the ground. I have taken on cases that challenged not only individuals but systemic gaps: filing multiple Public Interest Litigations at the Supreme Court of Nepal to protect the rights of prisoners, disabled individuals, migrant workers, and students affected by the digital divide. These were not just legal battles; they were human struggles, and every verdict in favor of justice reaffirmed my belief in the law as a tool for real change.

Beyond the courtroom, I have served as a legal advisor to leading institutions such as NIC Asia Bank, Vishal Group, and several healthcare and corporate entities, ensuring legal compliance and ethical governance. My role as a Company Secretary at Bhaktapur International Hospital reflects my commitment to strengthening organizational accountability and corporate governance.

Equally important is my work in shaping the next generation of legal minds, teaching Business Law, Corporate Law, and Banking Law across multiple colleges. Education, for me, is not merely about textbooks, but about equipping students with the courage to question, innovate, and uphold justice.

This award would not just recognize my personal achievements; it would honor the countless individuals and communities whose voices I have carried into legal forums, and whose trust fuels my ongoing pursuit of justice and reform.

Key Achievements

Over the past two years, my professional journey has been marked by significant contributions to public interest litigation, institutional strengthening, and human rights advocacy — achievements that, while not measured in trophies, have had tangible and lasting impact.

In multiple Public Interest Litigations before the Supreme Court of Nepal, I have secured directive orders to the Government on critical issues such as effective law drafting, enforcement of existing legislation, and institutional reform. While some petitions remain sub judice, these interim directives are already shaping government action and will serve as persuasive precedents for future cases. Each order, though less visible than a verdict, carries the weight of systemic change and safeguards rights far beyond the courtroom.

In parallel, I completed a one-year fellowship with iProbono, a UK-based INGO dedicated to advancing Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ESCR). During this fellowship, I worked directly on cases and initiatives designed to strengthen access to justice for marginalized communities in Nepal. This experience not only expanded my international exposure but also deepened my capacity to align local advocacy with global human rights frameworks.

Additionally, I have continued my role as a legal advisor to leading institutions, ensuring compliance, governance, and ethical operations, while also mentoring future lawyers as a faculty member across several law programs in Kathmandu.

These accomplishments reflect a consistent pattern — using the law not only as a reactive tool for dispute resolution but as a proactive instrument for systemic reform, education, and empowerment.
